Untethered Collective

Royal Museums of Greenwich

We worked with the Royal Museums of Greenwich to update their store branding and to improve web accessibility.

The Challenge

As a public-funded body comprising of the Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark, and the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Museums of Greenwich has a duty to make its websites accessible to people with disabilities. The work we did with the Royal Museums of Greenwich was to ensure the online store adhered to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

The Results

Through various tools, testing and adapting the store's code, we were able to ensure the store met WCAG 2 standards. This means the online store is now accessible and can be navigated by a range of users; from users with visual impairment using a screen reader to users with motor neuron disease navigated via keyboard.
